Normal day to day stress is useful to enable us to run a marathon or meet that deadline. The issue comes when our body is in continuous stress.

When your body responds as though you are in danger. It makes hormones that speed up your heart, make you breathe faster, and give you a burst of energy – fight-or-flight stress response.

If stress happens too often or lasts too long, it can have a negative effect on our physical body, mental and emotional body.

On our physical body stress can be linked to headaches, allergies, food intolerances, stomach troubles, back pain, and sleeping issues. Our immune system gets weakened, making it harder to fight off disease

On an emotional level, stress makes us moody, anxious, depressed, and melancholy. This is turn keeps us removed from our work and environment and we then have imbalances in our relationships at home, work, school, etc.

On a mental level we became overwhelmed, and day-to-day tasks seems impossible to complete. We remain absent from ourselves and others and slowly we remove ourselves socially.
